Building Safer Communities by Fostering Productive Citizens Pharos House is a nonprofit residential reentry center which assists Maine residents who have been convicted of a federal offense. At Pharos House residents complete the final months of their sentences while reintegrating back into their communities. Our Program fosters social support networks education employment stable housing and involvement in selfimprovement programs in order to reduce recidivism. Pharos House has been operating in Portland Maine since 1972 and we have helped over 4000 residents reintegrate.
