KLT is Kent's community land trust. Our members work to protect Kent's natural beauty and resources. A nationally-recognized leader, in 2010 we became the 2d land trust in CT to be accredited by the Land Trust Accreditation Commission. To promote for the benefit of the general public the preservation of natural resources principally in, but not limited to, the Town of Kent. These resources shall include land and water resources, the plant and animal life thereon, and unique scenic, natural and historic sites; To engage in and promote scientific study and education regarding natural resources; To use all properties held or controlled by the corporation and the net earnings thereof for the benefit of the general public and for charitable, educational, recreational, conservation, scientific and historical purposes.

KENT LAND TRUST INC
KLT joined colleagues from across the region today at Bent of the River Audubon Center in Southbury, CT 🐦 We toured parts of the Center's grounds that were damaged and significantly impacted by the flash floods of last August, hearing from staff about their experience that day and in the weeks that followed, as they worked to reopen trails and rebuild the drive and other infrastructure. Participation in the Greenprint Collaborative and its Stewardship Group is a terrific learning and networking opportunity, helping to make sure we are prepared and fiscally responsible in the ongoing (perpetual. ) care of our conservation land.
