Despite its simplicity, hand hygiene is still poorly practiced in many health care facilities. Levels of hand hygiene compliance for high-income countries rarely exceed 70%, calling for additional efforts to improve practices all over the world. Over the last three years NMC has been working to get compliance rates up to at least 90%, surpassing that goal in June of 2024.
