Hartley House has served those who live and work in New York City’s Hell’s Kitchen since 1897. Hartley House provides social, educational and recreational services to those who live and work in the Hell’s Kitchen community. Founded in 1897, Hartley House serves school-age children, youth, and older adults in Hell’s Kitchen by enriching their lives, expanding their opportunities, and building a sense of community. Our After School Program serves children ages 5 to 12 and offers a safe and welcoming environment for them to develop their academic, creative, and leadership skills. For older adult participants, we offer enrichment and community-building programs and events, such as our weekly bingo nights and annual Thanksgiving celebration. A cornerstone of our support for older adults in our community is our Home Outreach Program for Elders (HOPE) program.
