Green Chimneys is working to prevent the spread of Avian Flu to our resident birds with an aviary to enclose our large waterfowl pond and you can support us by donating to our Avian Flu Emergency Appeal. www.greenchimneys.org/birds25 As plans for the aviary are finalized, costs continue to rise- we now estimate that this project will cost upwards of $75,000. Our resident birds must be temporarily relocated and the pond completely drained before construction can even begin! This aviary is a critical improvement to our campus, keeping resident birds safe and guaranteeing continuity of care for the students who need Green Chimneys programming to succeed!
