🫶🙌🥳Pawsitive Gratitude! 🥳🙌🫶 We went. We tried to run. What we actually did was trotted, walked, stumbled, trudged, slipped and slid and wobbled through the muddiest course I have ever been on! It was fun. It was difficult but it was fun and it was worth it. Per my apple watch, the four of us sprinted to the finish line after completing 4.02 grueling miles in 2 hours 14 minutes and 11 seconds. Not fast - but we finished. What pushed both of us up that incline was that we could feel your support surrounding us. That added wings to our feet. Now to do what we set out to do - save lives. First we paid off our bills. We are nervous but excited for their futures. That leaves just two - everybody's favorite Alfredo the cavapoo with heart (problems that is) and sweet Zander whose 4 year old eyes are clouded with juvenile cataracts. We still need about half of each of their goal monies (about $2,000 for Zander and about $2,500 for Alfredo). Zander can have surgery as soon as we meet goal. To our donors - we thank you. Meet Carolina Poodle Rescue’s adoptable Lucky! Lucky is a 5 year old Standard Poodle / Labrador Retriever mix! He is a happy and energetic guy who would love to go for walks, hikes, trips to the beach, or do most outdoor activity with his person. A single person, couple, or family with older children would be good. He would adore a big fenced yard to romp and play in, but he’d be okay with getting out to a secure area a couple of times a week for leash-off outdoor playtime. He likes to play with other dogs. Lucky is high-energy and fun-loving. He doesn’t know all of his commands, but he is very treat-motivated and eager to please.
