This year, Latimer Gardens Cornerstone celebrated Mardi Gras in style. Students enjoyed a fun-filled "Second Line" march and ate delicious King Cake cupcakes. In true New Orleans tradition, a tiny plastic baby is baked into each King Cake. Whoever finds a baby is said to have good luck for the year. And guess what? Every student found one! (fb)

The Child Center of NY is proud to partner with City's First Readers—a group of 17 organizations that offer free early learning programs, events, and resources for NYC families with children from birth through age 5. Between work, errands, and daily life, finding time for early learning isn’t easy. But every word, every song, and every moment counts—and CFR is here to make it easier! Find activities in your neighborhood by visiting citysfirstreaders.com. (fb)
