We mourn the loss of Dan Baldwin, a beloved leader, dedicated advocate, and the first-ever Chair Emeritus of Care For the Homeless. Dan’s passing in February 2025 leaves behind a profound legacy of service, wisdom, and compassion. His leadership helped shape CFH into the strong and mission-driven organization it is today. On Friday, we hosted a flu shot clinic at Susan's Place, our women’s shelter and health clinic in the Bronx. CFH opened Susan’s Place in 2008, and since then, 1,000+ women have healed, gotten back on their feet, and found permanent housing. A heartfelt thank you to our Population Health team, Policy and Advocacy staff, and Care For the Homeless Board member Cynthia English for their exceptional support. They helped distribute MetroCards and engaged with residents about our Consumer Advisory Board. A special thank you to Direct Relief for the generous grant and support that made this event possible.
