Our National Altar Guild Association (NAGA) Triennial meeting and convention work was a success. After a six-year hiatus due to Covid it was good to be together again. A new item for us this year was a booth at the convention marketplace. We had a good location and a lot of traffic. There were many questions — “What is an altar guild” or “I did not know we had a National Altar Guild; what does NAGA do?” Our booth was well staffed, these questions were answered, and several people signed up to join our ranks. We served at four Eucharists, three for the convention as a whole and one for our membership meeting. We estimate that we served about 7,500 communicants! There were three workshops, a fabulous day trip, social hours, a board meeting, general membership meeting, and the installation of our new officers. Registration deadline is just a few days away (May6) for the NAGA TRIENNIAL MEETING in Louisville KY. Lots of workshops and events planned for all Altar Guilds and we will prepare the Altar for the General Convention Eucharists. Subscribe Posts Comments Welcome to the National Altar Guild Association Welcome As we enter Lent we encourage everyone to intentionally take some time to gather just to be with each other. So often we come together for work and that is good but we neglect fellowship. We prepare hundreds of meals the Eucharist each year for our congregations yet we must also remember to find time to sit and be and break bread with each other. Winter ismembership renewal season Members will shortly receive the membership renewal letter.
