Meet Liz Frizzell Liz brings her enthusiasm and positive attitude to her role in Community Life, where she participates in activities and outings with residents. She enjoys living in her hometown of Boothbay Harbor with her black lab, and close by to her 2 sons, Erin and Christopher, and 2 grandchildren. Her daughter, Sara, lives in Florida. Liz has worked with the senior population in different positions since 1991. While she was raising her children, she spent time in customer service at a local bank. Previously, she worked at Lincoln Home as a caregiver, and did private duty for 5 years. “ I love this generation. I have had a connection to older people since I was a little girl. I used to visit with an elderly neighbor once a week, we had a special connection. In my role in Community Life, I get to do a lot of fun activities with residents and can really build relationships. I love to learn about their lives and their stories.” We love having you, Liz! (fb)

We welcome the public to join author, humorist and retired Park Supervisor, Tim Caverly, April 17 at 3:00PM. The presentation, "Allagash-New England’s Wild River" includes music as well as scenic and historic photos from our ‘northern forest.’ Spectators will virtually canoe the world-famous river, discover forgotten logging history and learn about Native American archaeology. Hear first-hand about the lore, legends, and characters that Tim experienced during his 32-years while a Maine Park Ranger. Tim’s stories are based on accompanying his fire warden dad ‘on patrol,’ living in the four corners of Maine, and his 32 years as a Maine Park Ranger. Tim has written 14 books about Maine, and several of his short stories have been published in newspapers, magazines, and outdoor journals. He is a monthly columnist for “The Maine Sportsman” and the “Bangor Daily News.” Tim and his wife, Susan give talks to schools, as well as to adults. They have donated 2,429 Allagash Tail’s books to 296 New England schools to encourage literacy and learning about our natural world. Both printed and talking books have been donated to Maine’s six veteran communities.Tim and Susan live in Millinocket, Maine and raise golden retrievers when not writing or visiting schools. Join us in our media room at 22 River Road, Newcastle. RSVP to The Lincoln Home front desk, 563-3350. (fb)
