How we got started The Benton Womans Club was founded in 1910 and became Federated in 1914. We are a member of the General Federation of Womens Clubs GFWC and the state chapter known as GFWC Kentucky. GFWC is the worlds largest and oldest nonpartisan nondenominational womens volunteer service organization founded in 1890.
