Advocacy in DC: Two of MVES' leadership just returned from Washington. Lisa Gurgone, CEO of Mystic Valley Elder Services, and Meg von Lossnitzer, our Community Programs Director, met with Senator Edward J. Markey, and with staff from Congressman Seth Moulton and Congresswoman Katherine Clark's offices, to discuss the needs of #olderadults and #peoplewithdisabilities and the impact of federal legislation and funding. They also attended the 2025 USAging Policy Conference, where plans to restructure the Dep’t of HHS and dissolve the Administration for Community Living were discussed, as well as the impact of these changes on organizations like MVES. #advocacy #agingservices #mves Mass Aging Access (fb)
