The Van Riper House
The Van Riper House is a historic Dutch-style brownstone home built in 1788 located on River Road in Nutley, New Jersey owned by the Van Ripers, a prominent early New Netherland family. Our mission is to achieve an adaptive reuse of the Van Riper House, Nutley's oldest home, by transforming it into a robust community space to improve the quality of life of residents of the Township of Nutley and the surrounding area, while providing educational opportunities for exploring our Township's history.

We are on a mission to save one of Nutleys oldest homes. Built circa 1788 the Van Riper House has been threatened by neglect for decades.
