The Van Riper House is a historic Dutch-style brownstone home built in 1788 located on River Road in Nutley, New Jersey owned by the Van Ripers, a prominent early New Netherland family. Our mission is to achieve an adaptive reuse of the Van Riper House, Nutley's oldest home, by transforming it into a robust community space to improve the quality of life of residents of the Township of Nutley and the surrounding area, while providing educational opportunities for exploring our Township's history.
