Adolescents and young adults anticipate and look forward to pursuing higher education, earning diplomas, securing new jobs, and much more. They do not expect or think they will receive a cancer diagnosis. This devastating announcement has a profound impact on the AYA (Adolescent and Young Adult) community. These patients need specialized support and treatment.
