Maine Girls Ice Hockey Association The Maine Girls Ice Hockey Association MGIHA advances girls ice hockey in Maine by supporting girls leagues creating more opportunities to play and making the sport more accessible at all levels. We aim to provide an experience that creates girls ice hockey advocates for life. Playing ice hockey can be a great way for young girls to develop their physical fitness mental toughness and social skills. Playing hockey helps them discover who they are as individuals and helps them gain confidence in their decisionmaking and their own bodies.
