The Greenwich Fire Fighters Association is affiliated with the International Association of Fire Fighters as Local 1042. Currently Local 1042 has over 100 active men and women employed as Fire Fighters, Officers and Marshals by the town. THE ORGANIZATION OPERATES AN ANNUAL FUND RAISER AND PROCEEDS ARE USED TO PROVIDE FIREMEN BENEFITS & TRAINING, STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS, AND VARIOUS MEMBER ACTIVITIES.

International Association of Fire Fighters
Earlier this month, we were informed of the potential presence of mold within the living quarters at the Cos Cob Fire Station. In response to this serious health and safety concern, the Town has initiated testing and will proceed with remediation as necessary. Out of an abundance of caution and in the interest of protecting our members, both career and volunteer personnel have been temporarily relocated from the living areas of the station.
