Chicago Cat Rescue
Chicago Cat Rescue is dedicated to improving the lives of animals in Chicago through rescue, fostering, adoption and education of their human companions. CCR is a foster based, all volunteer, licensed rescue. We've been helping cats in need through rescue, adoption and education, and empowering our community to do the same, since 2006. Chicago Cat Rescue rescues homeless cats from the streets, local high-kill facilities or from individuals who cannot or will not provide for their care or safety. The animals then receive appropriate medical care and are placed in caring foster homes awaiting adoption. While the rescue and care of needy animals it a major priority, the ultimate goal of the organization is to find permanent, loving homes for the animals. To achieve this the following measures have been adopted: 1) to promote the organization, 2) to pubilcize the animals for adoption, and 3) to educate potential adopters and the general public regarding animal welfare and animal care issues.
