The Austin Asian Community Health Initiative, Inc.’s mission is improving Asian community health & wellness through direct services, education, & advocacy. The Austin Asian Community Health Initiative (AACHI) exists to partner with the local community in Austin to enhance public health and well-being. We fulfill our mission through language-specific education, advocacy, and healthcare navigation services for our clients. As one of the only organizations in Central Texas to provide free culturally & linguistically-appropriate support services to marginalized Asian communities, we work to fill in the gaps of the healthcare system.

In South Korea, Parents' Day or 어버이날 (Eobeoinal) is a family event & an important part of Korean culture. The annual holiday honors & celebrates parents, recognizing their sacrifices and the selflessness involved in nurturing children. During this recent Parents' Day celebration at Praise Jesus Church / 예수 찬양 교회 here in Austin, Yumi, one of our Korean Community Health Navigators provided outreach to inform community members of Central Health's programs & services.
