TTT-NT-WT: KHS Zaca. Formally a Major Taylor Program bike, this 29er, making it the odd one out in the MTP, has been stripped down to nothing and like a phoenix rising from the ashes, it is reborn in a style more relevant to the current times. I assume that each phoenix, when rising from the ashes, comes back with updated gear, and a fresh new style. It was a year ago this week that the programs department here at RBP went to Penn for the Youth Bike Summit. There we were able to see into the future. I know that there have been a lot of “futures” in the past, some more accurate than others. The future that we saw was laced with 29ers, bmx bars, and wheelies. Oh, the wheelies. Wheelie boys and girls swarming the streets in granny gears. 12 o’clock children 24 hours a day. The east coast already knows, and the bike industry is starting to see it. We don’t have a lot of wheelie bikes come through the shop but we do have the tools to hook them up when they do. This KHS Zaca is a perfect example. If you recognize the delicate details as one of Brad’s builds, you have a keen eye. Do you or someone you know have the ability to ride wheelies? This is the bike for you. Don’t let the single speed deter you. The kids at last year's YBS were catching 80 mile Saturday cruises, again, in their granny gears, riding wheelies all over Lehigh Valley. Come on down and take this thing for a spin. It is on sale! Eight hundred bells and you're good as gold. This week we are going back to the YBS but this time in Boston aka “The Cradle of Liberty”, “The Athens of America”. Wish us luck as we ride wheelie bikes across America from Reno to Boston and back. jk lol. We are going to Boston though, so see you at YBS 2025! (fb)

Tuesday Tom’s Top-Notch Two-Wheel Transportation: SPECIAL EDITION. The Reno Bike Project Annual Pancake Feed is upon us. This Friday actually (May 23rd). Come and celebrate Bike-to-Work Month with us at our shop (216 E. Grove St.) from 7-10am. Ride your bike and you can get free pancakes, bacon, and coffee. They say there is no such thing as a free lunch, and I don’t dispute that. I am talking about breakfast here, not lunch. Play our hot new speed lock game. Ride your most beautiful bike and enter in our “Pancake Paccottiglia Pageant” (patent pending). Every entry will receive a free cycling jersey of your choice and a chance to win a GRAND PRIZE! (tbd) Entry is totally free, a few impartial judges will narrow it down, and then we will let the gram decide the ultimate winner. The name is somewhat of a misnomer as we are looking for la crème de la crème, there may be a separate junk category where you can win a free flat fix in the free public flat fix station but we will see about that. It is going to be very nice on Friday May 23rd between 7 and 10 in the morning and we would love to have you join us for breakfast, our treat, at our shop at 216 E. Grove St. Anyone who has a pancake, or cup of coffee, or some fruit, or some bacon, can also have a free bike jersey of your choice (while supplies last). Ride your fave, most beautiful (beautiful to you is beautiful to us) bike and enter in our “Pancake Paccattiglia Pageant” (patent pending) every entry gets a free bike jersey, with a chance to win a GRAND PRIZE! (a hoodie). Please come and eat breakfast with us. We would love to have you in our home (216 E. Grove St.). (fb)
