We are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Dr. Jacob Bhaggien, Principal of the Seventh-day Adventist School for the Speech and Hearing Impaired in Kollegal, India—a school that is supported by Child Impact International. For over 15 years, Dr. Bhaggien dedicated his life to serving deaf students with compassion, vision, and unwavering faith. A Pathfinder since childhood, he remained closely involved with the school’s Pathfinder group, the Silent Warriors, guiding them in community service, campouts, and spiritual growth. He dreamed of seeing deaf schools established in every union and division, and he considered it a privilege to care for these children, just as Jesus called us to do. Dr. Bhaggien’s legacy of love and leadership will live on in the lives he touched. He will be profoundly missed. Our hearts and prayers are with his family, students, and all who knew and loved him.
