DRC is a cross-disability organization providing service to any person, regardless of age, who identifies as living with a disability. DRC is a cross-disability organization providing services to any person who identifies as disabled. The Disability Resource Center (DRC) is a service and advocacy agency run by and for people with disabilities. The DRC supports people who have all types of disabilities to live independently and participate fully in community life. The DRC fulfills this mission through a combination of self-advocacy services and community action. Self-advocacy services are designed to enable participants to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to achieve personal independence. The DRC organizes and supports collective action by people with disabilities aimed at positive social change, the elimination of discriminatory barriers, and the creation of supportive and fully accessible community environment.
