Drop in volunteering this Saturday, May 31st, has been cancelled due to the predicted thunderstorms and current wet field conditions. Thank you for all you do to support our mission. We hope to see you soon! (fb)

We love our drop in volunteers! Have you considered a visit to Community Harvest Project? Meet Lisa, who first visited CHP with her 3rd grade class harvesting in the fall and returning to plant in the spring. She cares about people in the community having the same access to healthy food options that many others have. “Giving three hours to put fresh vegetables on someone's plate is worthwhile and fulfilling. Meeting new people and learning about them is an added pleasure and makes the morning satisfying and rewarding.” She says there is a place for everyone on the farm and it’s a great way to spend a morning. Lisa loves the meditative aspect of the work and the convenience of being able to drop in as her schedule allows. Volunteer farming for hunger relief rooted in community WHAT WE DO We engage and educate volunteers to grow fruits and vegetables for hunger relief Members of our community who experience hunger are also more likely to have limited access to healthy foods. Limited access to healthy foods leads to poor health effects such as unhealthy diet higher levels of obesity and higher instances of dietrelated diseases such as diabetes and heart disease. We farm and donate fruits and vegetables so everyone has the healthy option. We have two locations Harvard and Grafton where you can volunteer in ways that fit your schedule throughout the year.
