Signs of spring are beginning to arrive all around our Grafton farm. Garlic and onion are stretching upward to meet the sky. Inside the high tunnel, our spinach has leafed out beautifully. The beginnings of this year’s crops are filling all of us with the exuberance that new life brings. #springtime #farming #nonprofits #nonprofitsofinstagram #greenhouses #spinach #farmsofmassachusetts (fb)

About the organization
- K99 -
Volunteer farming for hunger relief rooted in community WHAT WE DO We engage and educate volunteers to grow fruits and vegetables for hunger relief Members of our community who experience hunger are also more likely to have limited access to healthy foods. Limited access to healthy foods leads to poor health effects such as unhealthy diet higher levels of obesity and higher instances of dietrelated diseases such as diabetes and heart disease. We farm and donate fruits and vegetables so everyone has the healthy option. We have two locations Harvard and Grafton where you can volunteer in ways that fit your schedule throughout the year.
