Fridays For Future is sponsoring a Global Climate Strike this Friday, April 11, Here in the Capital District groups are holding a rally at the State Capitol on 2 PM. A key focus is to push Governor Hochul to stop backsliding on climate, such as her delay in implementing carbon pricing (cap and invest). We also need the Governor and State Lawmakers to include measures like NY Heat, the green affordable pre-electrification (GAP) program, Stop Climate Polluter Handout Act, and the Renewable Capital Act in the state budget, which has not yet been adopted.

(audio) On Saturday April 5, more than a million people came together in more than 1200 events nationwide to tell President Trump and Elon Musk Hands off. Organizers said this was a nationwide mobilization to stop the most brazen power grab in modern history, an all-out assault on our government, our economy, and our basic rights—enabled by Congress every step of the way. Several thousand braved chilling rain at the State Capitol in Albany to deliver that message.
