Teachers Unite Inc
Teachers Unite (TU) is a membership organization of public school educators collaborating with youth and families to transform New York City’s system of public education. Our goal is to dismantle what has long been coined the “school-to-prison pipeline” (STPP) – practices and policies that target Black, Latinx, TGNC, and special education students and push them out of school and into suspension centers, police precincts, courts, and youth detention and imprisonment. TU resists the STPP by mobilizing educators in campaigns for racial and economic justice.
