Gladwyne's Merion Square Scout House The Merion Square Scout House Merion Square Scout House The Merion Square Scout House is a Class I Historic building built in 1884 as a mission chapel for Bryn Mawr Baptist Church. Today it is a nonprofit corporation 501 c3 located in the heart of the Village of Gladwyne serving a vibrant and diverse group of young people from the surrounding community. It is the regular meeting place for over 150 scouts and their allvolunteer leadership throughout the year including Boy Scouts Cub Scouts Girl Scouts and Brownies with occasional use by other local community groups. The building is governed by a local community Board of Directors and it depends entirely on community donations for its ongoing support and survival.
