The mission of Shaping America's Health (SAH) is to prevent and treat excess weight and obesity, and to facilitate a better scientific understanding of weight management. As of May 1, 2009, the American Diabetes Association discontinued the operations of Shaping America's Health Association for Weight Management and Obesity Prevention. Certain of its activities will be continued as programs of American Diabetes Association.
