⛳ Can living near a golf course increase your risk of Parkinson’s disease (PD)? A new study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association is raising eyebrows — showing a link between proximity to golf courses and an increased risk of PD. 🏡 Those living within a mile of a golf course were found to have more than 2x the risk of developing PD compared to those farther away, and those living within the water service of a golf course also had about a 2x increased risk of developing Parkinson’s compared to those living in areas without a golf course.
