Belmont Day School was founded in 1927 by a group of parents committed to providing children in the elementary years with a strong academic foundation and many opportunities for creative expression. Today, as then, the school's program is designed to support and challenge the intellectual, social, emotional, creative, and physical growth of each child. In every grade, students learn through concrete experiences as well as activities which extend the developing capacity for abstract reasoning.
