Mission Statement The Family Friends of the Asbury Green Chappel Inc. was established as a nonprofit organization dedicated to restore and preserve the cemetery affiliated with the Asbury Green Chappel Methodist Episcopal Church a nineteenth century African American church and cemetery located in the Eastern Shore village of Bozman Maryland. Our mission has been further enhanced to include informing the community about the need for restoring historic African American cemeteries in Talbot County to raise and manage funds for this process and to develop a longterm maintenance and care plan for these cemeteries. We aspire to aid and assist with the restoration preservation and conservation efforts of these cemeteries and we pledge to advance education awareness and appreciation of African American history and culture within our community.
