NIA serves thousands daily through after-school programs, summer camps, family guidance services, community assistance, referral services, community events, and senior support services. NIA takes pride in our caring, professional, and culturally responsive approach in helping constituents, families, and youth. NIA's focus is on helping others, improving educational outcomes, community health and well-being, and increasing access to resources.

NIA Community Services Network What we do NIA Community Service Networks mission to strengthen and empower children families and communities through comprehensive programming and vital human services is evidenced through our vital work that directly supports and enriches lives every day in New York City. NIA has developed important partnerships and programs that are designed to help improve the quality of life for all youth families and seniors. Each year we serve over 15000 children and their families through after school programs two Beacon Community Centers summer day camps cultural arts programming youth and family counseling services parent education workshops community assistance and events and referral services. We also serve thousands of senior citizens through our senior picnics senior proms health and nutrition initiatives and support programs.

NIA/PS 179 and NIA/PS 186 celebrated Eid al-Fitr with special events. NIA/PS 179 was invited by DYCD to celebrate Eid at Gracie Mansion. The event was a vibrant celebration featuring Sufi drumming, book readings, dance performances, and a tour of the historic mansion, meanwhile NIA/PS 186 hosted a joyful family event with crafts, henna, delicious food, and reflections on gratitude and kindness.
