Thanks to a generous scholarship from the College of Central Florida foundation, their path just got even brighter! 🌟 We're beyond proud of their dedication and deeply grateful for our partnership with CF in making futures like these possible. . . Ashley has applied to the AA Arts program at CF and is eager to enter a physical therapy program. Despite facing setbacks in her applications for housing and parenting classes, she remains focused and determined to enhance her education and independence. Michelle is pursuing a Business and Organizational Management degree, driven by her passion for creating a business that supports and uplifts her community. Her commitment to furthering her education stems from her desire to build a better future for her family. Their journey has been marked by resilience and determination. 🎉 Last night, we proudly celebrated our largest-ever Strong Families class, Class 18, with over 40 participants graduating from our 15-week program! 🙌 Each graduate took powerful steps toward financial stability and a brighter future, from learning to budget and build credit to reducing debt, increasing income, and securing stable housing. 63% of families moved from temporary to permanent housing, 10% began advancing their education and earnings potential, 38% increased household income, and 36% reduced the amount of their debt. Our graduates shared how much this journey has meant: “Gaining knowledge has been key during this process,” says Mr. Lamont Cockrell. “Strong Families has helped me to navigate life’s challenges with greater ease, and it’s helped me find a sense of purpose,” says Mindy Dortly.
