The ”Licensed To Kilt” Joe McGinniss Scholarship Race and Family Event was summarily deprecated by the Officers of A.O.H. Division 2 Newtown; all future events in the Celtic Kilt Tilt Scholarship Race Series were cancelled, without recourse. That being the case, the Race Organizers thank you, our friends, supporters and benefactors over the years, for making this the most successful fund raiser in the history of A.O.H. Division 2 Newtown, enabling us to grow from awarding a single (1) $500 scholarship 8 years ago, to fully funding eight plus (8+) $1,000 scholarships out of the Net Proceeds of this year's 2016 Celtic Kilt Tilt Run, with future projections estimated to exceed $25,000 annually at the time of Cancellation. Accordingly, the final act of the Race Organizers is to upgrade your "License to Kilt" to Lifetime status, as we say "Slán a fhágáil, agus go raibh maith agat!" ("Farewell, and thank you!”) for your support over the years ... until we meet again!
