The Essential Jobs, Essential Care New Jersey (EJEC-NJ ) coalition has launched its new website to address the critical direct care workforce shortage facing the state. Launched through PHI's Essential Jobs, Essential Care™ initiative, which began in 2020, this coalition tackles New Jersey's urgent need to fill 227,500 direct care positions by 2032, while the state has experienced a 15% reduction in home health aides from 2017 to 2023. #EJECNJ brings together health care providers, consumer advocates, workforce organizations, labor representatives, and policymakers in this collaborative effort.
