Sun States: Blood Banks for Animals operates much like the Red Cross for humans - the only difference is our volunteer donors are animals. We take blood donations from volunteer animals, type, test, and fractionate the blood into components to provide a safe, reliable, and efficient use of a very scarce resource. These components are made available to veterinary hospitals. Sun States also provides transfusion support and consultation services.
