Vashon Island Chorale's first rehearsal in the Kay at Vashon Center for the Arts. The Chorale performances are this coming Saturday at 730PM and Sunday Matinee at 3PM. The Vashon Island Chorale will hold concerts at VCA on Saturday 12/10 at 7:30pm and Sunday 12/11 at 3pm featuring holiday music by English composer Ralph Vaughan Williams including "Fantasia on Christmas Carols", "Antiphon", and "Benedicite". Gerard Finzi's "In terra pax" and traditional holiday carols are also on the program. The Chorale will be joined by a string orchestra of local players and soloists Jennifer and Andrew Krikawa. The Youth Choir from McMurray Middle School under the direction of Erin Kealy will make an appearance also. Tickets are available at vashoncenterforthearts.org or at the ticket desk in the VCA lobby.
