June 1, 2025 we supported an event organized by Katerina Kato photography in Maryland to mark international Children's day, which is also St. Nina's feast day. This was the second year of the festival, expanded from last year, hosted at Little Georgia. This year's activities included theater play by Nino Imedadze's theater troupe from New York, Georgian dance ensemble ქართული ცეკვის აკადემია "ალადასტური" ამერიკაში Aladasturi led by Mamuka Aladashvili in Maryland, Georgian song and dance ensemble Pesvebi led by Shorena Pesvebi with chapters in Brooklyn, upstate NY, and New Jersey, as well as wonderful pantomime by Synetic Theater's Vato and Stella, a display of Georgian-run businesses from MD, PA, NY, and NJ. Georgian Association, with sponsorship from Palitra L Publishing • გამომცემლობა პალიტრა L and individual donations from our generous donors in the US, was able to gift Georgian books and notebooks to children and parents. Students and parents from The Academy of Georgian Heritage attended the event and helped form new friendships across the states. It was a marvelous day full of joy. Georgian Association in the USA supported this wonderful event that brought together children from Maryland, DC, Virginia, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.
