Follows, favorites, and retweets do not indicate endorsement. #OCY Official Old Colony YMCA Facebook Page The Old Colony YMCA was established in 1887 in Brockton, Massachusetts.  The organization has since grown to primarily serve 31 cities and towns in Southeastern Massachusetts, in addition to numerous social service programs located in communities throughout Massachusetts.  The organization offers wellness, social service, and personal development programs for people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities.  Activities are designed to promote healthy living and instill positive values that strengthen the whole person - in spirit, mind, and body.  Our commitment is to enrich the individual, support families and increase the quality of life for all members of the community.

Old Colony YMCA

Duke Kahanamoku was a gold medal Olympic swimmer who trained at the Central Y, setting world records for the 400 and 500 relay races in 1916. Following his Olympic career retirement, Kahanamoku traveled and conducted swimming exhibitions—it was during this time that he popularized the sport of surfing in the United States, which previously had only been known in Hawaii. #APAHeritageMonth (fb)

Over 30 million children participate in the National School Lunch program during the school year. Out of these children, only 15 in 100 eligible kids have access to free, healthy meals and snacks over summer break.
