Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park is the world's longest elevated pedestrian bridge. At 1.2 Walkway Over the Hudson is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization founded in 1992. Our mission is to inspire people to connect to the beauty of the Hudson Valley through long-term stewardship of the Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park and support of the regional trail system, which offer public enjoyment of the bridge's historic architecture, the scenic wonders of the Hudson River Valley and the diversity of its recreational and cultural activities.

💡OUR PATHWAY BRIGHTENS💡 Earlier this month, nine more of the 454 solar lights along Walkway Over the Hudson's northern railing were adopted by local families and businesses. When you Adopt-A-Light, we install a plaque engraved with your personal message for all to see. Your adoption includes a plaque display for five years, with the option to renew and continue your legacy.

🎼 FREE OUTDOOR CONCERTS ARE BACK. 🎸 On Wednesdays and Thursdays all summer long, you're invited to enjoy great live music from local artists at Walkway's Ulster Welcome Center Plaza in Highland (87 Haviland Road) thanks to our partners at NY State Parks & Historic Sites. On Wednesdays, performances are from an eclectic mix of local musicians and include country, pop, jazz, Celtic music and more.
