Islandcenter The Island Center for the Arts The Island Center for the Arts is a Cooperating Institution of Massachusetts College of Art and Design and a nonprofit educational institute offering Study Abroad Art Programs in Greece on the beautiful island of Skopelos. Established in 1988 by Tom and Isabel Dempsey the Island Center for the Arts offers university level art courses workshops and classes in Painting Mixed Media Fiber Arts Printmaking Book Arts Teachers Seminars and Greek Culture. At the Island Center youll receive individualized instruction in small classes with experienced professors and instructors. We motivate our students to do their very best work while the stunning visual surroundings and cultural contrasts provide inspiration for artistic exploration.
