The world needs more good leaders! Shackleton Schools, Inc. was launched in 1998 to tap the leadership potential and love of learning in young people who seek a more challenging and meaningful educational experience. Shackleton Schools is an innovative, non-profit, educational venture based in Boston that is developing a family of residential, college-preparatory high schools and Professional Learning Centers across the country. We believe that every young person has the potential to be a courageous, skilled, and compassionate leader. Our curriculum combines rigorous academic content with exciting Learning Expeditions throughout North America and beyond. Our first high school is 60-miles northwest of Boston on a beautiful 70-acre hilltop in Ashby, Massachusetts. Our goal is to develop a powerful high school program that builds curiosity, courage, and compassion and can be applied at future Shackleton Schools and Professional Learning Centers.
