Nishioka Charitable Foundation – a resource for medical students Nishioka Charitable Foundation a resource for medical students Welcome to our website The Nishioka Foundation is a taxexempt organization and private foundation under section 501c3 of the Internal Revenue Code. Since 2006 the Foundation has provided annual scholarships to studentsenrolled in a medical program at an accredited medical school in the United States. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic excellence financial need and a demonstrated interest in medical issues affecting people of Japanese ancestry. Our selection committee works closely with the Japanese Medical Society of America in New York City.
