Funding for the veterinary care of sick or injured companion animals owned by low-income NYC residents who are unable to pay costs due to financial emergency. NY SAVE was founded in 1998 as the philanthropic arm of the VMA of NYC. There clearly was a need for a charity to help relieve pets of low-income owners.
