Padmasambhava Peace Institute

Educational nonprofit focusing on restoration and healing of land and people. An all-volunteer community learning about forests, fire and Buddhadharma. The Padmasambhava Peace Institute is an educational non-profit focused on human and environmental restoration. We host groups and workshops for veterans, people in recovery, UCs, minority leadership cohorts, naturalists, etc, while stewarding the land. We are an educational center providing retreat and study facilities for people interested in environmental stewardship and training in practices for peace. An all-volunteer residential community, we focus on providing affordable retreat facilities for groups from all sectors of society, especially from marginalized, under-served or low-budget communities. We believe everyone should have access to a beautiful, peaceful space on the land, for healing and learning. Through our partnership with an online cultural-exchange program, we bring in residential volunteers who are interested in land stewardship and/or spirituality, and we provide learning opportunities and resources for them through the work, our own religious activities, the library, and guest access to outside workshops we attend.
