These are the policies that could change life for NYC families… Robin Hood’s 2025 Poverty Tracker reveals that 78% of NYC families with children—over 1 million kids—would benefit from key anti-poverty policies recommended by the Child Poverty Reduction Advisory Council (CPRAC). Families across the city are struggling: 💰 43% can’t afford a $400 emergency expense 🏠 54% are rent-burdened, paying more than 30% of their income on rent 💼 31% took on extra work just to keep up with inflation But we have solutions. The CPRAC recommendations—expanding the child tax credit, strengthening housing assistance, and boosting food benefits—would lift families out of poverty and provide long-term economic stability. Robin Hood is making smart investments in the best poverty-fighting solutions, but we need policy change, too. Read more about how New York can turn the tide on child poverty. (fb)
