#Rp If you’re in North St. Louis City or North St. Louis County and have been affected by recent tornadoes, several local organizations and agencies are offering targeted assistance. Here’s a list of resources available in your area: ⸻ 🏠 Emergency Shelter & Immediate Relief • American Red Cross – Missouri Region: Provides emergency shelter, meals, health services, and emotional support. Contact the St. Louis office at 314-516-2800 or call 1-800-REDCROSS for assistance. • The Salvation Army – Midland Division: Offers food, shelter, spiritual care, and long-term recovery services. They have committed over $900,000 to tornado relief efforts in Missouri. • Catholic Charities of St. Louis: Provides vital support during natural disasters, including assistance through Multi-Agency Resource Centers (MARCs) offering insurance information, legal services, food stamp replacement, and health and wellness services. • Saint Louis Crisis Nursery: Offers emergency care for children and support for families during crises, including natural disasters.  ⸻ 🛠️ Home Repair & Financial Assistance • Missouri State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA): Coordinates disaster recovery programs, including low-interest loans, temporary housing assistance, and crisis counseling. • U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA): Provides low-interest disaster loans to homeowners, renters, and businesses for repair or replacement of real estate, personal property, and more. • Missouri REALTORS® Relief Foundation: Offers up to $500,000 in grants to Missourians impacted by the March and April 2025 tornadoes, assisting with housing-related expenses. • Missouri Housing Development Commission (MHDC): Works with local Community Action Agencies to provide relief assistance for severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding in Missouri.  🍽️ Food & Nutrition Assistance • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Disaster Waivers: Missouri has received waivers to replace food lost due to power outages from recent storms, applicable in St. Louis and surrounding counties. • Guardian Angel Settlement Association: Provides a client-choice food pantry, rental and utility assistance, and other support services to families in need. ⸻ 🧰 Cleanup & Volunteer Support • AmeriCorps St. Louis Emergency Response Team: Assists with debris removal, mold remediation, home repairs, and volunteer coordination during disaster recovery efforts. • Convoy of Hope: Deploys teams to disaster areas to provide food, supplies, and humanitarian services. • Missouri Baptist Disaster Relief (MODR): Offers volunteer opportunities for disaster response, including cleanup and recovery efforts. ⸻ 📞 How to Get Help or Volunteer • 211 Missouri: A central hub for disaster assistance and volunteer opportunities.
