TYLER MATAKEVICH, 2024 PRO WING HONOREE The final vote has been tabulated and here's the Class of 2024 honorees for our Fairfield County Sports Hall of Fame. The 7 new members are: -Jackie Robinson Professional Wing - Lee Zink (Darien), Dan Orlovsky (Shelton) & Tyler Matakevich (Stratford) - James O'Rourke Amateur Wing - the late Tom (Bo) Hickey (Stamford), Mary Anne O'Connor (Fairfield) -J. Walter Kennedy Community Service Wing - Jeff Brameier (Darien), Ed Faulkner (Norwalk).

Ali Truwit has been named our 2024 Chelsea Cohen Courage Award recipient. The Darien resident, just two days after graduating from Yale University in 2023 where she was a member of the women’s swim team, was attacked by a shark while snorkeling and lost her foot and part of her leg in the attack. Remarkably, in just over a year she worked to recover, learn life with a prosthetic and made Team USA for the 2024 Paralympics in swimming.
