The Harrelson Center is a nonprofit Center that provides a synergistic environment for organizations that offer services to people in need. Our mission is to provide a humanitarian services campus of nonprofit organizations that offer hope, opportunity, and empowerment. We focus on meeting basic needs, some now referred to as Social Determinants of Health (SDoH), for upward mobility, such as housing, education, mentoring, mental and physical health, workforce development, family and child wellness and disaster recovery. Support is provided to our partners through the coordination of collaborative fundraising, education and shared expenses. The Center provides below-market rental rates and paid utilities for its partners. The Center coordinates social and educational opportunities, promotes partner services to the community and provides volunteer recruitment. This synergistic environment allows all of the nonprofits to operate more efficiently and better utilize their funding. We recognize that one organization cannot solve layers of the life complication. We are grateful to our large network and close proximity and communication to outstanding resources in our community. Our best work is done together.
