We address the effects of social inequity in the most challenged communities in New York City. Our innovative programs and compassionate services measurably enhance the education, well-being, and development of children, their families, and communities. We have maintained an unwavering commitment to our mission for 200 years.

Sheltering Arms Children and Family Services Earlier this year Sheltering Arms announced that severe financial challenges resulting from the pandemicare requiring the agency to cease operations after serving New York Citys most vulnerable children youth and families for 200 years. By July 1 2023 the majority of programs and employees will transfer to other agencies which will allow the programs to run consistently and keep staff connected to those programs and families. Sheltering Arms takes great pride in the clear and undeniable results of our programs and we remain grateful to our Board of Directors staff and donors.
