Our Old Sac After Hours tours are back! These very popular, adults only, tours will immerse you in the wilder side of Sacramento City’s early days and peels the layers off Old Sacramento to reveal the raucous city, full of mischief, mayhem, madness, madams … and murder. Guests must be 18 or older to join the tour. Tours will be offered most Fridays and Saturday evenings running through the end of summer. We have a new exhibit opening at the Sacramento History Museum called “Sacramento In A Can,” all about Sacramento’s canning history! The all-new exhibition will take place on two floors in the Museum and will remain on display through September 1. To help get the word out about the new exhibit, Jared letterpress printed an electrotype of a newspaper or magazine column of a California Almond Growers Exchange and Blue Diamond ad discussing almond tuna casserole. This ad was prepared by Chapin-Damm Advertising and was printed in McCall’s magazine in 1955. This was printed with black rubber base ink using our Washington hand press.
