Big Brothers Big Sisters of Morris, Bergen, Passaic & Sussex, Inc. mentors children in need, providing children facing adversity with strong, enduring, professionally supported 1-to-1 relationships that change their lives for the better, forever. It partners with parents/guardians, volunteers and others in the community and holds itself  accountable for each child it serves achieving higher aspirations, greater confidence and better relationships through avoidance of risky behaviors and educational success. Its vision is that all children achieve success in life.Big Brothers Big Sisters has been perfecting the mentoring experiencefor 107 years. The local agency is part of a national federation of 375affiliates -- the oldest and largest 1-to-1 mentoring organization in the world – and serves about 450 children throughout northern New Jersey. There are a hundreds more who could benefit if more mentors were available.  Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring programs are provided free of charge and help children:* Perform better in school; * Get along better with their peers and families; * Resist drugs, alcohol and early parenting; * Have greater respect for other cultures.
